U8 Boys Win 3 v 3 Live Tournament

Our Spirt Boys won the U8 Division all 4games in Tampa Bay Rowdies 3v3 Live Tournament they qualified for the florida region finals june 30th

U10 Spirit Boys win adidas Cup Challenge

The U10 Spirit boys participated in the Brandon Adidas Cup Challenge.
They finished with a record of 4 and 0, winning 5-1, 6-4, 8-1, and in the finals 4-3.

U8 Spirit Boys adidas Cup Runner-Ups

The U8 Spirit Boys lost a hard fought match in the U8 Division Finals of the Brandon adidas Cup  losing 1-0.

U11 Spirit Boys Region Cup Final 4

Region Cup Semi-Finalists

The U11 Spirit Boys made the Region Cup Final 4.  The team won their group play going 3 wins and 0 losses (4-2, 7-2, and 4-0).  The boys went on to win their Round of 16 game 5-1 and Round of 8 game 2-0.

This team is made up entirely of U10 players.   The boys were finalist in the Florida Soccer Club President Tournament also.

Congratulations to Mike Rowan  and the rest of the coaches.

U9 Spirit Boys Runner Up in Largo March Madness Soccer Shootout

Congratulations to the U9 Spirit Boys for a successful tournament at the March Madness Soccer Shootout in Largo.

The boys went undefeated through the group round and lost 2-1 in the tournament championship.

Jordan Harris Fundraiser Tournament

Florida Soccer Club and the U17 team will be hosting an end of season tournament the weekend of February 11-12, 2012 to benefit Jordan Harris who is battling brain cancer.

Jordan was diagnosed in April 2011 with a rare stage 4 brain cancer called sPNET (Supratentorial Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumors). He had surgery to remove the 8cm X 8cm tumor from his brain on 4/14/11.

Thank God they were able to remove the entire tumor and after a spinal MRI, spinal tap and bone scan it was determined that it had not spread. He began radiation treatment in the middle of May. He went to Moffitt 5 days per week for radiation of his total brain and spine for 6 weeks. He recently completed 6 months of receiving aggressive chemotherapy treatment at All Children’s Hospital where he was hospitalized 4 days a month to receive 3 different chemotherapy drugs.

He now will begin an additional 6 months of an oral chemotherapy drug.

Sign Up for the 2012 Tampa Bay President’s Day Soccer Tournament

The 6th Annual Tampa Bay President’s Day Classic Soccer Tournament is open to all USSF affiliated teams,
Boys (U9 –U19) and Girls (U9 – U19) COMPETITIVE “B” LEVEL and PREMIER “A” LEVEL tournament teams are welcome.
The tournament will be held February 18- 19, 2012. Teams will compete at the 301 Youth Sports Complex and other local soccer complexes.

  • U9 and U10 teams will play in a 6v6 format and may carry up to 12 players on their roster.
  • U-11 and U12 teams will play in an 8v8 format and may carry up to 14 players.
  • U13 to U-19 teams may carry 18 players on their rosters and will play in a full-sided format.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

Each team will have a minimum of three (3) games in their pool play.

GUEST PLAYERS:

Teams may include up to four guest players.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Entry deadline is February 1st.
Fees are $395 for U9/U10 teams, $495 for U11/U12 teams and $595 for all teams U15+
